The 4th Annual
Martin Luther King Day of Giving Back
Monday, January 17, 2011, 9am to noon
Hopkinton Middle School

Award winning speaker- Sarah Varadian

Please join us for breakfast snacks, a kick off program and community service activities.  In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr., Hopkinton will bring together young and old to celebrate volunteerism.

Plan now for an activity that your group can sponsor / lead.

Some examples that groups have chosen include: letters to soldiers, winter emergency kits, photo frames for soldiers, cooking for senior housing, making fleece blankets for the homeless and many more.

We hope that your group will think of an activity that you can lead at the Middle School which would allow youth, seniors and others to participate.

Your group may also choose to volunteer off-site that day.

Whether you’re part of a group or not, we invite you to show up on MLK Day to join your neighbors in volunteering. (Volunteer activities are geared towards middle school students and older.) We hope to see you at 9 am for the kick-off program at the Middle School.

Contact MLKHopkinton@comcast.net with questions, to discuss ideas or to reserve space for your group.

MLK Day of Giving Back is sponsored by the Hopkinton Youth Commission
