The Massachusetts open burning season starts Friday January 15. The HFD have provided a list of rules and regulations that outline the open burning requirement of the State. New for this year you will find that the Town of Hopkinton will require residents to come to the fire station to complete a permit that is required by the State. This permit must be completed annually prior to the traditional phone notification that occurs each day the resident wishes to burn.

 H1N1 vaccine information:

The Hopkinton Board of Health in partnership with the Hopkinton Medical Reserve Corps is holding a large-scale H1N1 (swine) flu vaccination clinic for all Hopkinton residents ages 4 and up. The clinic will take place on January 23, 2010 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at (Hopkinton Middle School, Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton, MA). In recognition of the increased availability of vaccine from the federal government, this clinic will provide vaccination to all members of the general public, not just those in priority groups.
