Sweeping
In 2004 a system of sweeping the roads was implemented. The town
was divided into 3 sections. The sweeper started in section 1
then moved to section 2 then finally section 3. The following
year we reversed the order and continue to change the order each
year so that the same roads are not first or last each year.
Please keep in mind that we have approximately 125 miles of road
in town and both sides of the street need to be swept so we are
actually sweeping about 250 miles of road. It takes us between 4
and 5 months to sweep every road once then we go back and sweep
roads that need it again.
