You won't believe what you can recycle these days!

You may leave items in a bin by the road for biweekly Curbside Pick Up, or you may drop off recyclables at the Recycling Center any Saturday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The following table describes what and where you should recycle items in Hopkinton.

NO waxed paper or soiled/food-contaminated pieces, e.g. take-out pizza boxes
High Grade newspapers, magazines, phone books, paperbacks, catalogs, office paper (any shade), white computer paper, paper mail, old bills or statements.
NO carbon paper or plastic.

plus rinsed milk cartons, drink boxes
Low Grade brown paper bags, all mail (plastic address windows are OK), paperboard (e.g. dry food boxes with liner bags removed)

is accepted ONLY at the drop off

Packing Material

(Note: polystyrene loose fill ("packing peanuts") can be recycled at The UPS Store as well as other Massachusetts locations)
Metal
ALL items must be rinsed clean
NO aerosol cans, paint cans, or other hazardous containers
tin, steel, and aluminum cans
clean foil, pie plates, and metal coat hangers are accepted

NO aluminum foil or coat hangers
Glass
Rinse & remove lids (neck rings are OK, but NO corks or foil)
NO dishes, drinking glasses, Pyrex, light bulbs, windows, ceramics, mirrors, or broken glass
Glass must be sorted when brought to the drop-off site:
clear bottles & jars go in one bin tinted (green, brown, etc.) bottles & jars go in another bin

Batteries
