Improving Hopkinton's Open Space
A Recent Wetlands Project - Marking Trails at College Rock
work by Mark D' Agostino, Boy Scout Troop 73
Mark D'Agostino, of Boy Scout Troop 73 in Holliston, recently completed an Eagle Scout project at the College Rock open space area off College Street. Mark filed the appropriate requests with the Conservation Commission for work within the buffer zone, and then performed the permitted work at the site. The project involved the marking of over five miles of trails (in Hopkinton and Holliston), preparing trail maps, installation of a map board showing the trail system and rock-climbing routes on College Rock, refurbishment of a picnic table, and construction of benches near the rock.
Mark did an excellent job with the work, making the maze of trails in the area easier for hikers and rock climbers to use and enjoy. The Commission
thanks Mark for his hard work and wonderful results.
