The
initial responsibility of the Cable
Committee was to review bids submitted
by cable systems for the providing of
cable service to the Town. The
Committee subsequently made its
recommendation to the Board of
Selectmen, regarding the choice of
provider.
Since that time, the Committee has
advised the Board of Selectmen
regarding issues concerning
programming, changes in state and
federal legislation related to cable
operations, and general oversight of
the service provided to Hopkinton
subscribers. Five (5) members are
appointed to a staggered three (3)
year terms. |
