FROM THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Preliminary quarterly Fiscal Year 2008 real estate tax bills payable August 1, 2007, and October 1, 2007 will include a 2.5% increase in addition to the basic amount due. This procedure is being implemented to improve cash flow for the town, and provide for more even payments by taxpayers throughout the fiscal year.  This action is authorized by Massachusetts General Laws, and will not increase a taxpayer’s total real estate tax liability for Fiscal Year 2008.
