With the LIFT Public Transit System scheduled to launch LIFT 9 on
Monday, August 28, 2006
there will be several
modifications to existing
routes.
LIFTs 2 and 3 will
remain the same, but LIFTs
5, 6 and 7 will have
changes. Here is a
brief description of the
changes on each route:
LIFT
5:
LIFT5 will no longer service
Framingham State College,
and will become an hourly
route that meets other LIFTs
in Downtown Framingham every
hour. On the outbound
route, LIFT 5 will make a
right onto Homer St, a left
on Main Street, and then a
right back on Route 135.
In Hopkinton Center, the bus
will still make a left onto
Hayden Rowe, and will
continue to the intersection
with Grove Street. The bus
will make a right onto
Grove, a left onto Pleasant
and a right back onto Main
Street. The bus will
make the same detour in
Ashland on the return trip.
LIFT
6: The
LIFT 6 route will not
change, but the schedule has
been adjusted to make better
connections in downtown.
LIFT
7:
The LIFT 7 route will also
be slightly altered in the
Temple Street and Framingham
State College areas.
The bus will now turn travel
from downtown to the college
via Franklin Street.
It will turn left onto Maple
Street, then right on State
St. It will stop at
May Hall and then turn onto
Maynard road. It will
turn left on Salem End Road,
right on Temple Street and
left onto Route 9. The rest
of the route will remain the
same. The bus will
take the same route on the
return trip to downtown. Lift
