LEGAL NOTICE
Town of Hopkinton
Sale of Surplus Property
The Town of Hopkinton will accept sealed and clearly marked
bids labeled “Earthen Materials” for the sale
to the highest bidder of 4,500 tons of earthen
materials located off Cedar Street.
Bids shall be submitted to the Director of
Public Works, PO Box 209, 66 Fruit Street,
Hopkinton, MA 01748 until Thursday, January 5,
2012 at 2:00 p.m. at which time they will be
publicly open and read.
The material can be inspected
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. after
making arrangements with the DPW.
The town has laboratory results which show
that no contaminant concentrations were detected in
the material above levels published in MADEP
COMM-97-001 Unlined Landfill Policy thus the
material is suitable for reuse/disposal at an
approved off-site location.
The successful bidder must supply all
necessary equipment and labor to completely remove
the material from its location on Cedar Street by
January 27, 2012.
The Town of Hopkinton reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject
any and all bids, and to waive minor
irregularities and/or formalities as it deems to
be in the best interest of the Town.
